ROOTS – The Genesis & Evolution of Dance
Description of the show:
Come with us on a spectacular journey of dance through the ages. Beginning in ancient Egypt right through to the Tik Tok generation of modern day, experience how the migration of cultures and styles across history has influenced and shaped dance as we know it today. Our timeline is full of twists and turns, with stories told through a variety of dance styles. You’ll experience beautiful ballet, rhythmical tap, spectacular modern, jazz, and contemporary through to impressive acro, commercial and hip hop dances. This production is brought to you by the students of local Edinburgh dance school, DN Dance. Join us for a wonderful heartwarming show that will have you bopping along in your seat.
